Overview
Choose the option that best matches how new users access your tool. This label appears on your listing and is used for filtering across the directory.
Free
Your product is fully usable without payment. No trials, paywalls, or feature gating behind a paid plan.
Examples: entirely free utilities, research tools, or products funded by sponsorships.
Freemium
A free tier exists with meaningful usage, and optional paid plans unlock additional features, capacity, or support.
Examples: limited daily credits for AI calls, basic features free with pro features paid.
Paid
Payment is required to use the product beyond a time-limited trial or demo. There is no ongoing free tier.
Examples: subscription-only apps, usage-based billing without a free allocation.
Open-source
The primary distribution model is an open-source license. Users can self-host without payment.
If you also sell hosted plans or support, keep this as Open-source (not Freemium) unless core usage requires payment.
Tips
Pick the option a new user would experience today. If in doubt between Free and Freemium, choose Freemium.
